- The School of Architecture is dedicated to advancing the professions of architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture. In keeping with the nature of these professions, the programs are taught in an interdisciplinary manner, taking full advantage of the resources and areas of expertise offered by each. All programs offered by the School of Architecture are accredited by NAAB, LAAB and FIDER.
- The Speech Communication Program at Florida International University emphasizes practical communication skills grounded in theoretical bases which recognize the needs of a pluralistic society. Students develop verbal, nonverbal, organizational and critical thinking skills that enhance their personal and professional lives.
- The Department of Theatre faculty provides the challenges and support to those theatre students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree or a Bachelor of Fine Arts. The program aims to develop a well-rounded individual by guiding students through a delicate balance of both academic training and practical application.
- The School of Music serves over 300 music majors from 18 countries with 24 full-time faculty and over 40 adjunct faculty members. FIU offers a Bachelor of Music Degree with concentrations in composition, jazz, performance, and music technology, as well as a Bachelor's and a Master's of Science Degree in Music Education. The School of Music also offers a Master of Music in composition, conducting, jazz, performance, performing arts management, and music technology.
- The interactivity of our Studio Art and Art History programs helps students define their own roles as artists and art historians in today’s world. This communal atmosphere encourages artistic camaraderie, engendering trust and a climate conducive to intellectual and aesthetic growth. We provide many opportunities for each student including visiting artist seminars, workshops and study abroad programs. The Art and Art History Department programs are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
