In order to register for a fully online course you must be enrolled as a student at FIU or
be admitted as a Non-Degree Seeking student. For Non-Degree Seeking Student information, click here.
Once you have established and/or meet the requirements above, you may register for fully online courses.
Procedure
You may register for any course you choose as long as you meet the prerequisites. To find out the prerequisites you will need for your course, please meet with an advisor, or check your intended college’s website.
You can register online through FIU’s PantherSoft system or in person at the Registration and Records office at the University Park Campus, PC 130.
To register online, you will need to follow the same procedures you would follow to register for any course at FIU. You will need to have your Panther ID and your password. For more information on your Panther ID, please go to FIU’s PantherSoft system.
You may register online anytime during the normal university registration period (unless the system is unavailable due to routine maintenance or unforeseen emergencies). For registration dates click here.
Once you have successfully logged into PantherSoft click on the “Academics” link to enroll in a class. Under “Enrollment” click on “Enroll in a Class”.
To add a class to your schedule:
- Enter the Class Number in the “Class Nbr” field, or click the lookup button to view the schedule of classes.
- Enter one or more Class Numbers. To add more than 6 Class Numbers, click “ADD ANOTHER CLASS”.
- After you have selected all the classes you want to add, click the SUBMIT button.
- Verify your “add” was successful by checking the “Add Status” column.
The PantherSoft System has many capabilities, a few are the ability to view or print your schedule, apply for financial aid, and pay your tuition.
