Distance Learning Librarian

Sarah Hammill is the Distance Librarian at FIU Libraries. She assists faculty, distance/online students, who have access to the same library services and resources as on-campus students. FIU Distance Librarians are available to answer questions and assist faculty on how to best incorporate library research into their online courses.

Some of the library services available include:

  • Creating library tutorials specific for the needs of your students.

  • Conducting research chat sessions for your online course.

  • Providing library assistance to you and your students through your preferred medium (Adobe Connect, chat room, IM, e-mail, phone or in-person).

  • Helping you design a research assignment framed around library resources.
