The email below that was previously sent out to all CBA Faculty failed to mention the exact date that CBA face-to-face course shells would start being created within Blackboard Learn. The process of automatically creating CBA face-to-face course shells after they are entered into PantherSoft will start on Friday June 29, 2012. Any CBA face-to-face courses already entered into PantherSoft will have the course shell automatically created on this day. Any future CBA face-to-face courses entered into Panthersoft will be automatically created within 15 hours. All CBA courses should be entered into Panthersoft one year before the course starts. If you have any questions about your courses being entered into Panthersoft please contact your department within CBA. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
Dear CBA Faculty,
We are happy to announce that beginning Fall 2012 Blackboard Learn course shells will be created automatically for all CBA face-to-face courses. All CBA face-to-face Undergraduate course shells will be supported by Educational Technology Services (ETS) exclusively. All CBA face-to-face Graduate course shells will be supported by the CBA Graduate Web-Assisted support team. See contact information below for both departments. It is required that professors add, at minimum, a syllabus to their course shell(s).
Starting on Friday June 29, 2012 these CBA face-to-face course shells will be automatically created within 15 hours after they are entered into PantherSoft. At that time you will be able to login to your Blackboard Learn course shell by going to https://fiu.blackboard.com and entering your MyAccounts employee credentials.
Professors will now have the ability to copy course content from one Blackboard Learn course to another. Please make sure you attend one of the trainings below to understand the process.
If a professor would like to copy course content from a Moodle or Blackboard CE8 course, please click here to submit the request to ETS to have them transfer the content. Include whether the course was in Moodle or CE8 in the notes section at the bottom of the form.
