Blackboard Exemplary
FIU Online is proud to participate in Blackboard Inc.’s Exemplary Course Program, which awards online and blended courses that meet exceptionally high standards for course design, interaction and collaboration, assessment, and learner support. Since 2006, 13 courses from FIU have won the prestigious Blackboard Catalyst Exemplary Course Award, making FIU the most awarded public university in the program.
Alongside the Quality Matters and Gold Standards rubrics, FIU Online uses the Blackboard Exemplary Course rubric as a benchmark of quality for our online course offerings. Visit the Blackboard Exemplary Course Program website for more information about the program and award, and speak to an FIU Online instructional designer if you are interested in submitting your course for review.
